We provide a full range of civil engineering, master planning and water resource services throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Project Engineer Job Summary :

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Project Manager to lead the design team and complete engineering tasks in the planning, design and engineering services required for the successful construction of land development, water resources and municipal projects.

Typical engineering tasks will include site planning, alternatives analysis, entitlement processing, site civil design, grading, storm water management, drainage analysis, drainage report preparation, roadway planning and design, utility planning and design, preparation of stormwater management plans and designs, generation of construction documents, quantity take-offs, project cost estimating, and project close out.

Responsibilities will include collaboration with in-house project staff, the project design team, and project stakeholders to ensure a well thought out, skillfully executed and cost efficient design. Projects will range from urban, suburban and rural applications, typically along the Front Range.

Project Engineer Position Requirements :

  • The ability to communicate effectively and interact with clients and team members
  • Knowledgeable in current versions of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and other civil engineering programs
  • Experienced in preparation of drainage reports and stormwater management plans
  • Experienced in preparation of utility and grading construction documents.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Understanding of construction means and methods
  • Lead the project team in design under the guidance of a Project Manager
  • Successfully apply technical engineering skills to assigned projects
  • Lead the project team to generate and successfully process construction documentation
  • Consistently maintain client satisfaction that results in repeat clients and creates a potential new client base
  • Conduct work in a manner consistent with the company practices and that fulfills the company motto “Your Project. Our Pride”.


Project Engineer Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school
F.E. Certification, P.E. preferred
4 years of experience
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA preferred 

Project Engineer Skills:

  • Computer Skills: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in using UDFCD drainage programs and basic knowledge of HEC-RAS and other hydraulic/hydrologic programs
  • Drainage and grading design skills and drainage report preparation
  • Utility and Roadway design skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Team oriented individual
