civil designer

Seeking highly motivated, task oriented, and responsible civil designer to assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with land development and water resource engineering projects. The selected civil designer will possess strong design capabilities and will be able to work effectively and efficiently in the CAD environment and will work closely with Project Engineers to research local design standards, design site grading and improvements, prepare CAD drawings and plans and various other duties, as necessary. Land development work includes site layout, storm drainage, roads, utility infrastructure and erosion and sediment control design. Water Resources work includes stormwater management, stormwater design, water resources, and ecosystem restoration. Typical projects will require the generation of construction plan sets including plan and profile, grading, and erosion control.  In this position, the selected applicant will have a unique opportunity to become a critical team member and be mentored by a group of highly effective designers and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to work proficiently with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (Land Development Design) is required

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years experience using CAD in a professional setting,

OR, Associate’s degree in CAD and 5 years experience using CAD in a professional setting

OR, 7 years experience using CAD in a professional setting will substitute for the education and experience requirements

Computer Skills: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Microsoft Office

Able to communicate thoughts and concepts with team members

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Team oriented individual
