Serenity Ridge, consists of single-family and multifamily-family residential development. J3 Engineering Consultant’s scope for the project was site development including assisting the planner with site layouts, grading, utility design, street design, and drainage plans

Project details:

Development consisted of approximately 350 single-family traditional, and multifamily-family units in Aurora, Colorado, near E-470 and Smokey Hill Road. The development was designed and built in phases and is, if not the only, one of the only projects in Aurora to ever be approved for Mylar on the first submittal of plans.

Design challenges/resolution:

The greatest challenge was to deliver a complete approved construction set within a tight timeline for the developer. This was accomplished by the J3 Engineering Consultant’s team 13 weeks ahead the City of Aurora’s and the developer’s schedule.  This is one of the first developments in the SENAC basin for the City of Aurora and therefore special design considerations were enforced by the City. J3 Engineering Consultants worked with the City to present an approvable design while still advocating the developer’s best interests.
